Do I need a breeding cycle to add a litter?

No. A litter added from the litters list sets up a cycle in the background. If you track the cycle, you add the litter from it or link an existing one.

Can I add the whole litter at once?

Yes. Enter the number of males and females (up to 20 each) and Faunak creates cards for all the puppies. Fill in the details later.

Will Faunak register the litter with the club?

Not yet. PDF reports, including a litter registration form for ZKwP and FCI, are planned.

How do I hand a puppy over to its new owner?

You invite them as the owner using their email address. Once they accept on their own Faunak account, the dog moves to them with its whole history, and your kennel stays on as the breeder.

Do litters work for dogs only?

For now, yes: puppies, dates and breeds are for dogs. Other species are planned.

A litter is eight cards at once

In the first weeks everything happens at the same time.

Puppies without cards. Until pickup the puppies are “green collar” and “red collar”, and everything has to be copied over later.
Weights on a sheet of paper. Weighing several puppies every day ends up as a table on the fridge.
Who is taking which one?. Buyers, deposits and reservations live in your messages, not with the puppies.

Create the litter
From the cycle after whelping, or straight from the litters list. Dam and sire must be the same breed.

Add the puppies
All at once by entering the number of males and females, or one by one: collar color, sex, time of birth and weight.

Hand over to the new owner
Reserve the puppy for someone on the waiting list and invite the owner at handover. The dog moves to their account with its whole history.
